Oh, the AGony!

Someone get a mop and shovel, Mukasey’s gone to Code Brown again (via the AssPress):

Congress should explicitly declare a state of armed conflict with al Qaeda to make clear the United States can detain suspected members as long as the war on terrorism lasts, U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey said on Monday.

Wait, wait. It gets even better. He’s not just talking about a never ending conflict against one amorphous mass of people who often share little more than a name:

“Any legislation should acknowledge again and explicitly that this nation remains engaged in an armed conflict with al Qaeda, the Taliban and associated organizations…”

OK, I’m not sure what associated organizations means and that’s a big problem because it could mean any damn association some weak-kneed bed wetter says it means.

“…who have already proclaimed themselves at war with us,” Mukasey said in a speech to the American Enterprise Institute.

In other words:

Waaah! They started it!

Jesus Christ on a bed of linguine. There’s nothing to say about this crap besides 182 days is 182 days too long.
